She's real

Though it's way past my bedtime (by hours according to my "new" schedule), I'm up soothing a blue-eyed baby. She just needs to feel close to her people--and her people want to sleep!--in order to be calm.

But it strikes me in moments like this how *real* she is. Between dishes and laundry and feedings and power naps, it's kind of easy to forget that there's a person at the center of all of the commotion. She's here. In our life. Our tribe is three. She's growing, changing, learning. It's an awesome feeling.
